I too suffer from hearing loss and Tinnitus. About 5 years ago I bought a Walkers Game Ear. The only time I used it I was hunting in NZ. It made everything louder but most of the amplification seemed to be the noise that I was making. Every step sounded like I was walking on corn flakes. Just turning my head created so much noise in the game ear that it was distracting. Moving my arms to do anything created annoying racket. This was a first generation GE. I think that hearing aid users have the same complaint. That GE got stolen when some MF broke into my truck and I haven't bought another one.
Maybe the new ones have solved these problems.
