Ann, you bring up good points with the draw length and the limbs. I see MANY hunters afield with bows that have a draw length that is to long for them. The best way I have seen to measure your ideal draw length is to place a yard stick to from just below your "adams apple" and extend BOTH arms forward with hands pointing straight out. See what the measurement is at your fingfer tips. This is the draw length that you should be shooting. Other variables come into play, but this is a good starting point. Many compounds (But not all!)are adjustable over over a several inch range. Usually 2-3". You can e-mail a manufacturer to ask questions regarding a specific bow.

I agree with using does for meat. We have been doing this here in Pennsylvania for the past few yeras and are starting to see many trophy bucks in the 140-150 P&Y range.
