Double shotgun

Hello all, I've been looking for a S/S percussion black powder British shotgun for a while but the last Purdey that came up at auction (circa 1822) went for over 10k US$ and I don't want to pay that sort off money. The gun is going to be shot regularly. I have been offered a Joseph Harkin 14 bore from circa 1860 in good condition in its original case with all the fittings for US$3k. Any thoughts ? Things to look for ? thanks for the help, Mike Bailey
