Hello all, I am widening my search and am looking for a mint pre 1938 .470 NE or .500NE double rifle by Westley Richards (must be C type lever and droplock best), H&H (must be self detachable locks), Purdey or possibly Jefferies or Rigby. I would prefer 24" barrels, stock at least 14 7/8ths,
double trigger, main consideration is v.v.good condition or mint, pref cased and will shoot well. If it needs re-regulating I can sort this in UK. I have a good friend in UK (I live in Spain) who has all licences for import/export, he is the concessionaire in UK for AYA and Marlin amongst others. I will obviously want the gun appraised before I wire the money and will use either H&H in NY or H&H in London although if, for example it is a Westley I will be happy to get it checked there.
I will of course pay the shipping for the appraisal whether I buy the gun or not. Payment can be in any normal traded currency to your account by wire transfer. Please email me photos should you have a gun for sale that you think fits the criteria, many thanks, Mike Bailey
