I also have a cape gun with both rifled and smooth barrels in 16 bore. Mine is a Tipping and Lawden under lever, dating from pre 1877 somewhere. Another point of interest with mine is it's 20 inch barrels. Looking at some of the wear marks, I think it my have been designed for use from horseback and spent a lot of time in a scabbard.
