Since you're in New York, you might want to talk to Brian Perazone who lives upstate and builds double rifles on shotgun actions. He is a really nice man to deal with. I bought a Mauser bolt rifle from him at a very attractive price and which I could have made a lovely profit on if I sold it the very day I received it, had I wanted to. If you want to talk to Brian, I'd be happy to give you his personal numbers etc. You know where to reach me...
