Either calibre is fine for pigs.
Long range flat shooting = 270 win
I've loaded 220 gn roundnose soft nose in my 308 ruger synthetic with devistating results on pigs including one shot where the bullet travelled the full length of a pig, from chest to butt then went through both shoulders of a pig standing behind it.
Two for the price of one bullet.
