I have killed a few deer with the 220 Hornady at around 2400/2500fps.

Works great. Killed one at 175 yards.

I use IMR 3031 powder just because I had a lot of it on hand.

I have also killed a few deer with the 235 Speer at the same velocity. It too works great.
