My book is showing 3 different bullets and loads using 3031 powder. The 400gr. bullet shows 9034ft. lbs energy, 500gr. 9900ft.lbs. and the 600gr. at 8040ft. lbs. just those three are pretty damn close to that 10,000lb. mark. As for Ackley's loads, I didn't know that. Might save me from blowing up a rifle if was ever to have to reload for one, thanks. Mickey guess a guy would want to headshoot if he wanted to eat any of that rabbit . On overkill you're right, what do they know. I shoot snapping turtles out of the pond behind the house using a 535gr. Postell, never had one crawl off . Well that's not correct, they do go their own way, one part one way, another part another way .
