No, almost never. With Marrakai's example notwithstanding, that would be extremely rare. You just have to know what you're looking at to know which maker it is. Sometimes there is a maker's serial number on it (a different number than Manton's), and sometimes there isn't. Again, these were ALL made by someone else, not just some. Manton of Calcutta was exclusively a retailer by the time the breech loader arrived.

You'll have to provide a link. I never look at GA anymore since they butchered it. Utterly useless site. I checked and there is no Manton listed in double rifles.
