Good idea to look for used bows. If bought from a archeru shop my guess is that they won't be a lot cheaper than new, but direct. Good idea.

A lot of hunters down here bow hunt pigs and goats. My experience is that the ferals are a lot easier to hunt than deer and can be approaced closely with care and luck. Then it is up to the bowhunter to place the arrow.

Also goats often will only run 800 metres or so away and stop to feed again. And can again be hunted, easy with a rifle, however if may be harder with a bow the second time.

This makes great practice for more serious game.
