A lot of interesting material has come to the fore, answering a lot of questions on the procedures - mounting the barrels etc. One thing I would like to see is a pictorial on making and mounting the new ribs as I assume a new set would need to be made. Not to stir the pot but would it be the consensus of the "pros" that a side lock / hammer, extractor would be the best choice for a conversion from the inherent strenght of the action? I realize that the cartridge size etc. would come into play as well but would not this type of action be the best choice simply because of the " lack of cuts" through out the action. --- John303
