A few years back I was having some horrible luck hunting Nyala in Zululand. After a couple days of this, our tracker told my P.H. that we should come to his village and have his local Witch Doctor take the curse off me and my rifle. We went, and after an exchange of a few dollars, he worked his "magic", chanting and rubbing the leaves of some local tree on me and my rifle. The next day an hour or so after sunrise I shot an Nyala that was pushing 30". When in Rome...
