I don't think you need dread shooting your paradox. Normal loads should be just under mildly stimulating. When was your paradox made and what is the chamber length? Early guns regulate at about 1000fps to 1050fps. Later nitro guns at 1100+. If you were lucky enough to aquire one of the few magnum guns velocities were somewhat higher and the gun was probably originally regulated with a capped bullet. Try a 740gr. bullet with about 20gr of unique and buy Wrights book. Congratulations, you won't regret you new acquisition.
