Wall thickness is a requirement of Pressure, not caliber. The higher the pressure, the greater the barrel wall required. Your math was off by a factor of two. .870-.620=.250 .250/2= .125 I have a refference chart for recomended minimums at my shop. I can post on that later if someone does not beat me too it.
