The 450/400's started off on the heavier side and seemed to get "lighter" as the years went on.

I think the comment about "10lbs" being too heavy is
a perpetuated myth - I have shot "lighter" 450/400's and prefer the 9.5lbs+ guns.

In a well balanced double, you do not notice the difference.
