Happy New Year to All!!!!

I have a 416 Rem, a 416 Rigby as well as a 458 WM but no 458 lott. Why two 416's? I guess just cause I am a sucker for a good deal.

Ballistically I would consider the 416's better for hitting targets at distance than the 458 and compensating for the trajectory at distance.Theoretically 416 Rigby would be the more reliable rifle operating at lower pressures than the 458 WM. This should not be an issue with a Lott downloaded off max pressures. The 416 Rigby uses the larger action and this matters to some. The availability of components goes to the 458 Lott.

IMHO if I had to make a choice I would choose the 416 Rigby for Buff and smaller game and not look back. It's no 458 Lott on Buff but does other tasks adequately and easier. If I had the 458 Lott I would just work on getting closer for my shots!!
