78 grains of Win 760 and 300 grain bullets are virtually guaranteed to shoot well in an accurate 375. In 24 inch barrels expect from just under 2500 to just over 2500. I think this load will be the one most likley to shoot the softs and solids to the same point.

68 grains of IMR 4064 will be around 2400 to 2450. Often the most accurate load in a 375, although the Win 760 is likley to be better across a large range of rifles. In other words, if I was testing a new 375 I would start with Win 760 and 300 grainers.

Reloader 15 in my opinion offers the best combination of velocity and accuracy in the 375 and especially when you wish to avoid heavy powder compression. Work up to 73 grains and that will be at close to 2600 with 300 grainers.

4320 and 4895 also work well and may find the easiest way to get your solids and softs shooting to the same point is to try 4064, 4895 or 4320 and you might findd yourself using say 4064 with the soft and 4895 or 4320 with the solid. 68 grains is the charge. However, I think the odds are high that Win 760 will get the softs and solids to the same point of impact.

As a side note, 68 grains of non canistered 4064 use be used in Winchester 300 grain Silvertip ammo and 71 grains with the 270 grain Power Point. The last lot of 375 Win factory ammo I pulled apart (several years ago) was 270 grain Fail Safe and it had 71 grains of what looked like 4320.

Mike
