I am not aware of any production rifle chambered in the 404 and that is a real shame. It has accounted for many, many more Large animals and DG than any two other similiar calibers.
I am fortunate enough to have an original Jeffery and I have carried it around the world. It is light and handy, a mod 98. If I lost this one I would make another in hurry. It shoots a 400 grain Woodleigh at 2250 (my load) and a 350 at 2550. A mild recoiling rifle.
A 375, but better.
