I have loaded the 286 gr SAF for a friends 9.3 (double). That load has taken several buffalo and other plains game with no problems.

I have used the 500 gr woodleigh softs and solids in my 458 Lott on buffalo with no problems.

I have used the 300 gr barnes x (and triple shock which shoots better) in my 375 HH on buffalo with no problems.

There are too many good bullets out there to waste time worring whether a certain bullet might be good enough.

I have even used the 235 gr barnes xlc in my 375 hh on buffalo with excellent results. Would not recomend this bullet weight as first choice but it did work very well. This load is chronographed at 2900 fps.
