What's so hard about hunting and shooting 10 plains game animals in 6 days in Africa?

That isn't hard. There is lots of game.

As for walking vs driving in a bakkie. Well one will work and one won't. Doesn't mean you shoot from the Landcruiser. In a lot of cases the game is off and the trackers follow it up for you. Then you get a shot.

Don't knock a different type of hunting in a different place till you have tried it.

I know a hunter like you who critised people that didn't get out and walk for the entire hunt. At one place he did his normal thing. Two days later he was "spotting" from the vehicle as well and "stalking" on foot.

What works, works.

Spotlighting leopard?

You may have to give it a try in the day, before rubbishing this. In Zim it is legal. Where they are hard hunted they are almost entirely nocturnal. Not like in the old days where the pressure was way down. I'm yet to see a leopard in the flesh in the wild using any method.

Would you payUS$10,000 for a leopard hunt with a 0.005% chance of success or the same for a 33% chance of success?

Also what about baiting? Is that ethical? Some people don't think so.

Also sitting near a waterhole? Same deal.

Lots of choices, and sometimes the options and right choice is different in a different place and time.

I agree with your PM about sambar at Watervalley. Obviously an easier option, but IMO still a trophy of sorts. Obviously not to the standard of a true mountain stag by any means. That's pretty obvious, 10 years hard hunting vs 10 days. Sums it up pretty well.
