I don't know how many Elephants PHC has shot. I do know he didn't shoot any with Bob Langeveld.

He is said to have been a top notch Jaguar hunter there.

He was a funny and entertaining man and I miss most of his writing. Whether or not he exaggerated a bit is irrelevant. What writer doesn't? Oh yeah, Elmer Kieth

When he wasn't promoting his books or himself he was very down to earth about his accomplishments.
