What is it you want to know? What the Markings mean or what the rifle is.

Can you post Pictures? Tell us more about the rifle. Caliber any other markings

The markings on the butt are most likely Unit markings, over rack or rifle number over the date.

Of Course the Comonwealth of Australia marks means it use to Belong to the Government of Australia...
