It's a shame that you have to leave them where they drop, a real waste of skins and also some very good meat. In Tassie we use all of the Bennetts and Rufous wallaby that we shoot, either for our own consumption or for dog tucker. It's the same for those lucky hunters in the north and east coast of Tasmania, where on many properties crop protection permits are issued for our Forester Kangaroo, Tasmanias only true Kangaroo, the whole animal can be taken, Foresters are very good eating, many people rather Forester meat instead of our Fallow venison.
