So basically it isn't a possibility to hunt Buffalo with a 500 NE using reduced loads. IMO 1500 fps isn't sufficient for buffalo.

I am pretty sure the GS Custom makes a 500gr FN solid. Maybe one of these at 2000 fps or so would be sufficient with acceptable recoil. What do you guys think?

He could use the 375 but I just wanted him to be able to use the DR if he wanted to.
