Jim Brockman offers a very simple peep sight that is actually part of the rear scope base, and it looks pretty effective and practical to me:

I have a milled-steel EAW skeletonized rear sight with a single standing blade on my 375 H&H, and a ramped EAW front sight with hood. The rear sight has a fiberoptic reference dot, and the front has a fiberoptic bead. The is the fastest , most truly usable, and best open sight setup I've ever used, especially since I can't get used to peep sights. The rear sight is adjustable for windage, and the front is adjustable for elevation.

The skeletonized rear sight is incredible effective and strong, and it doesn't cover up nearly so much of the target as a traditional rear sight blade.

This set was obtained from New England Custom Guns, and D'Arcy Echols screwed and soldered them to the barrel, so they're on to stay.......
