A$8999 at todays exchang rate is NOT US$5219 NEW
but US $6659

Even if it was US$5219, by the time you add Air Freight costs (you can't post it),
Customs Broker clearance charges, Duty on Import of the gun,
FFL Dealer charges, Insurance (unless you want to take the risk),
the difference would not be that great.

And then you have the time between paying for it and waiting for your
Import Licence (?Form 6?) to arrive which at the moment seem to take
ages to get processed.

For a total saving of how much ?
