I agree with Curly a slip on pad is a good way to go.

I wouldn't invest a large ammount of gunsmithing labor costs adding LOP to a gun that you got such a good price for. With costs of smiths and stock guys today you can easily pay more for the work than you did for the gun! (Well I'm exagerating a little here...)
