Lions have been called in with a variety of devices used to emulate their roar. I've heard of cone shaped sheet metal, 25 or so litre cans with holes cut in the battom...

It is suposed to be very, very exciting. You might want to take a look at the AR thread on this in African hunting about a week old - probably page 2 or 3 by now.
