I don't know why it would either. I have not worried so much about what the lop is but how it feels when mounting it.

I want to get a good grip on the wrist, have my finger resting on the front trigger without stretching, a distance from my right thumb to my nose that is safe and not have to scrunch or stretch my neck to 'feel' comfortable.

This can be anything from 13.75 to 14.75".
