Cocking / DeCocking

From memory as I did ask the question and then try it, I am pretty sure the rifle must be re-cocked
every time it is closed ?" ie it decocks itself on opening and you have to recock it when closed.

For DG, not what I personally would want as I know just how fast you have to reload
and it's one more thing to do - same reason I disconnect Automatic safeties.

I DO NOT want the above to be a definitive statement on the Cocking / DeCocking
mechanism until I have checked.

Re future Brief review, Yes, I can't wait to see the 9.3 / 375H&H Doubles and a 470.

ENGRAVING - The gun I looked at had sideplates with lots of engraving - looked OK
to me, better than Merkel's enrgaving (finer scroll, more detailed) but engraving is much
easier to comment on when you have 2 - 3 guns of the same maker next to each other.
