read about the accuracy is most itimesverypoor because the 45 colt is much undersized. iirc, old blackpowder cartridges had a .454 lead bullet but modern loads all having the common 45 ACP .451 diameter. combine this with .460 or bigger martini henry barrel. I think it would improve with 45 colt handloads and a bigger bulet.
