Varget is just barely slower burning than H4895, both being made in Australia by ADI and have "their" numbers as well.

Any load for that case using IMR4895 will be safe for Varget. The Varget load will be slightly slower burning, giving slighlty lower velocties. The crossover/equivalence will be 1 or 2 gr. of powder, easily.

Appears you 9.5x57 MS shooters only want 2,000fps with 270's.

My 9.3x57 produced 2,268fps using 48.0gr. H4895 Extreme.
That load, in your larger bore and greater capacity case, if loaded using Varget, I would expect only 2,075fps to 2,100fps at most.

My 9.3x57, using 45gr. H4895 produced 2,170fps with re-sized 300gr. Hornady's.

Pressure with these loads showed ZERO web expansion (ie: .0002 & .0003") from a full length sized case. Less than 1/2 of 1 thousandths of an inch, where several thou. would be normal with even only 50,000psi loads.
