Did Ferlach Makers Use any Belgian Receivers?
      29/03/25 11:11 AM

A knowledgeable gun guy and friend emailed me that he was given a circa 1918 16ga SXS of obvious high quality. He identified it as a Ferlacher by proof marks, but the gun has no name anywhere. The gifting owner identified it as a Ferlach gun, also.

In looking at the photos he sent me it looks to me the receiver might be of Belgian origin. I don't want to post the photos without my friend's permission.

My question is did Ferlach makers source Belgian receivers at any time back then, mindful that WWI was a major factor for any western European makers? Did they use whatever they could get their hands on?
