I use this bullet loaded over 70 gr of IMR 4064 and a Federal 215M primer. This is a mid range load. As with any load this may not be safe in you rifle. It is an absolute death ray on antelope and deer. I haven't noticed any deformation. I am satisfied and it is what I will be carrying for elk this year. I tried the Hornady 270 gr SP but was not pleased with the performance I had.
