I was trying to have a claw base done recently and I talked with many top gunsmiths here and Europe , no one want to cut that front receiver even tho they know there are plenty of them out there , liability laws for sure as I dont ever remember anyone talking about an accident with the front ring cracking , Lester Womack has some pics in his book of 98,s that he did a bit of stress testing on Paul
