OzTerrain portable kitchen.

My online review:

Box too big to fit most vehicles. Would work on a pull out draw system if depth is not restricted.

$1175 is expensive.

One burner stove. Way insufficient. One pot cooking only. Two to three burners better. I like there, but hard to get now and longer. Uses those disposable gas cylinders. A proper cylinder cooker connection and a bigger gas bottle, less expensive and lasts longer. These disposable cylinder BBQs are quick and easy and hoc BBQs only. But with a huge box like this, nope.

Add a toaster mesh. Integrated or separated.

Add cook pots. Nesting maybe.

Water supply is cold only. Need kettle and heated water for washing up. Or a hot water system to be externally connected.

Add wooden spatula and spoon.

Add plastic meat cutting board. For hunters a decent sized plastic meat cutting board would easily be incorporated.

Heavy?

Washing basin small.

I'd nest a second basin in the one. And try to nest a plastic rack in it as well. Dishes could be temporarily stored in either when unpacked.

If non stick fry pan, tongs are metal.

Add more meat, butcher knives. Cleaver. Meat and bone saw.

Add battery light to lid. Extra protein in the food if it attracts bugs.

Sounds like a lot of negatives. But my comments are part of a possible planning list of creating my own. Some items may be contradictory, eg a small box but more stuff inside.

Positives:

Concept is great. All mostly in one package. Quick and easy to setup. On a tail gate or better and pull out drawer system. Or on a foldout table. Weight and size of the box considering.

Dust/waterproof box is an excellent idea. Outback bull dust would get in everywhere in a trailer kitchen drawer setup.
.
Molle pads added to lid. Easy way to hang kitchen utensils.

If you can actually got the thing in and can access it, good complete concept. Easy access to stuff.

Box lid can form a wind shield.

Overall concept has merit. Especially to do ones own. Would work well as a trailer camper setup. A self contained enclosed drawer box. Slide out.

If in the vehicle, my LandCruiser Sedan has a divided cargo barrier with self. One side is supposed to be the slide out Engel fridge freezer. The other side could be a kitchen pull out of limited depth. But I find it irritating to use so much space for such. General cargo area becomes limited.

There is a roof rack. Getting stuff from there regularly is a pain. Heavy stuff up and down more than a nuisance.

A trailer setup far better. But fuel costs will be a lot more. Extra tyres to flatten. Possible slower driving. Less off road accessibility and makes some tracks impossible. A trailer with a lot of clearance essential.

Always tradeoffs. Maybe a swag, trangia and wood camp fire is better.

But I do like the idea of well organised contained setups. Probably because my mind and life these days is based on chais. Mobile kitchen. Mobile pantry. Mobile "wardrobe", e.g. a travelling trunk. Safari bar. Mobile reloading setup. Things that can be used in a camp hunt, picnic, vehicle holiday. Or at home, setup. A safari life.
