Idiots Abroad - Lion Attacks Hunter

All

If you want proof (as if any is required) as to the reality behind the choice of double rifles for dangerous game.

Check this circus out, it has clowns with noise making props galore, but, can you see a Decent Rifle anywhere?

Note how poorly these yokels do, basically they get off the shot in the barrel, additional shots only turn up after the Lion has scarpered. You will note the number of misses at close range and point blank (100%?), thats scopes for you.

OK, it could be adrenalin induced brain freeze, but, what about the PH? or was this just a Bubba and Billy Bob six pack and a yeee harrr effort. Who am I to say anything, the most dangerous thing I have had charge me at very close range has been a pig (it was pissed off but, honest).

I think there are three scoped bolt guns maybe four and they were lucky not to shoot each other. However, I can't help but think this would have been very different with three or four open sighted doubles, even with these idiots driving.

The lion was relatively safe sadly it didn't take shit for brain's head off, it had been hit, by some deer gun judging by the size of the scope. I assume they managed to finish the wounded creature off eventually (that was off screen).

It bears repeating, these urban cowboys achieved exactly nothing at close range, where it matters most. Lucky they had a polite lion.

If this is any thing to judge by a double has twice as many useful rounds as a bolt come crunch time.
