Quote: Curious about the single stage trigger. Up and down play of the bolt sleeve and cocking piece on a Mauser allows for settling or rising of the sear engagement. Anyone know how such a SS trigger is set up to avoid this? Is there a spring applying upward pressure on the rear of the bolt to provide for the same engagement each time? Something else?
a common way of getting round this is to build up the bolt sleeve where it contacts the rails of the receiver so as to remove this play you mention. This gives repeatable sear/cocking piece engagement
