It is possible that such a weapon was hardly or perhaps never used. That were mainly prestige objects.

Many DR caliber 600 Nitro Express were also delivered later to India without there being a real need for such weapons in this subcontinent.

But not that much has changed nowadays. According to a well-known Gunsmith in Germany, two-thirds of its luxury big bore rifles never see Africa.
