Great story. Spent too much of the day following political developments and this story rescued me as effectively as a Corbett book. What a childhood - 20,000 acre Kenya ranches and a .350 Rigby.

As to the whereabouts of the Block Estates Rigby, the trouble is that no one ever thinks to record serial numbers. That gun could have passed through a UK or other auction house or it could be sitting in your gun safe or mine. There are so many noteworthy firearms where this is the case - Bell's Winchester 54 .220 Swift, other .350 Rigbys noted in colonial era hunting books/stories, David Blunt's .416 Rigby, various Hoffmans and Griffins.
