There are a few words that come to mind, none of which are "ironic."

Anybody that pretends they didn't see this coming must be stupid.

You can give them food and seed til hell freezes over and nothing will change, unless most starve to death. The population of Zim increased to match the food supply and now there is no food. Duh.
