Building a .500 Jeffery.

Thought that I'd show photo progress of my .500 Jeffery build. I'm not personally doing it a gunsmith is. Started with a Sarco Mauser action, Swift bottom metal, a .458 follower and a Douglas .500 barrel 26" contoured Remington 5a I believe.


action and barrel mated for the first time. Threads were sloppy so had to cut and rethread. Barrel now 25.25".

getting ready to machine the mag opening on the action to mate the bottom metal to the action.
