Maybe I did not explain myself very well. I used to hearing my dad saying boy hunting in the good old days was so great. I use to say that also. But as each generation passes they look what our hunting and fishing was like and they refer to that is the good old days. As Population continues to increase on this planet, hunting will change. If you look back in the good old days of hunting in Australia all you had was kangaroos, rabbits, wild dogs and that was it. Now look at the variety of game you have there now, all transplanted. New Zealand had nothing until the animals were transplanted from North America, Europe and Asia. North America's game population has increased for the most part. Yes, certain parts of the country are no longer what they were but we are so mobile now we can just about anywhere. When my father was alive in the 50's and the early 60's, he just dreamed about going africa, New Zealand, Australia to hunt.

Is hunting really how many animals you shoot. To me it is a lot more than that. It is the whole experience of the hunt. Whether I get an animal is immaterial to me. It is the hunt itself. If I do manage to kill what I am after. That is the frosting on the cake.

Don't blame the greenies for loss of hunting opportunities. We need to blame ourselves for not stepping up to the plate to protect our rights. It seems hunters only react when they have lost something and not before.

I love hunting so much I took my small farm out of production and put into wildlife habitat so I could hunt to the day I die. I have made sure when I go. it does not go to some organization that does not support my views.
