I to dream about all those hunts of days gone by. But, when you think of it, those grand old days of hunting are right now. People are traveling the world to hunt like never before. Here in the US we have more whitetail and elk since the turn of the century. We can hunt year around here in North America. My father or grandfather would never have dreamed of doing what we do today. A person with a little forthought can hunt in North America, South America,South Pacific, Africa, Asia and Europe. I have hunted everwhere except for South America and Asia. I worked as Fish and Wildlife Officer for the state of Washinton for 34 years before I retired. I saved my pennies and watched for the end of season specials, bought a few hunts at auctions and met many friends along the way that invited me to hunt many places as long as I could get there. So the average person can do it. It just takes little forthought and perservance. The grand old days of hunting are right now.
