Can you share with us the barrel length? I am curious about the velocity potential.
You should be able to attain very effective velocity with bullets from 300 to 400 grains to take any animal on the globe. I am a fan of the .405 WCF and have 3 of them, here are the two .405 rifles that I hunt with: Winchester 1895 with 24 inch barrel:
