Quite a story indeed. Tks. I had a Savage 99 take-down when I was in basic training, although it was in .300 Savage calibre. I was loading for it while in barracks, using a Lee Loader, with IMR 3031 and 130gr. Speer HP's. I was using it for jack rabbits and coyotes out on my 'cousin's' ranch, South of Moose Jaw, Sask. It was about 25 sections at that time. but has almost all been sold off, now.
