Some people find the 482gr. ball, or the 466gr. 15 bore ball I shoot in mine, has more than enough recoil, especially with full power hunting loads of 6 drams.

I find it quite enough, as well.




In my .72, I use 6.5 drams with a .725 ball and a canvas patch. Tight fit!!!

Paper patched cartridge follow up shot...if ever needed.
