Ways to save for a safari:

Take your lunch to work - don't go out.

Don't go out to dinner.

Don't go to any pro sports events. Or concerts. Don't play golf. Quit the country club.

Take your vacation locally rather than travelling.

Sell the boat, 4 wheelers and motorcycles. Sell all your guns except the bare minimum (1 varmint gun, 1 deer gun, 1 plains game gun, 1 dangerous game gun, 2 handguns, 1 shotgun).

Don't buy Christmas presents for anyone other than your kids.

Don't donate money to charity, church, political candidates, etc.

Sell your guitar, piano, album collection, etc. Don't buy CDs or movies. Don't go out to the movies. Don't rent movies.

Give up alcohol and tobacco entirely, unless someone else is buying the drinks.

Don't buy new clothes unless you really need them.

Drive your car until it is ready for the junkyard. Then buy a $13K Toyota Corolla instead of a $45K Lexus.

Don't move into a new house. Don't buy new furniture.

Don't take the dog to the vet.
