The nice thing about the Enfields, is no extractor changes, from .605" rim of the .45 basic case, down to the Hornet's .350" rim.
A few guys I used to shoot with, made up long range prone rifles using #4 actions with fast twist .224" bls. chambered for .223
- no extractor mods needed. When retracting the bolt, the empties simply fell into the box magazine.
The #3, of course, would make up a Hornet, NP.
